Who are you?

I’m Leida Capella-Robinson.  I came to Vail thirteen years ago via the military.  After 23 years as a military brat and 21 years as a military wife, my husband, Joe, and I along with our four children chose Arizona as our forever home.

What motivated you to join the ReSources team?

I started my volunteer “career” as a 14-year-old Red Cross candy striper in an Army hospital in Okinawa and I loved giving of my time to our community. Now in Vail, I wanted to see how I could help in this community and the food bank was a great fit for me.

What’s your favorite part about living in Vail?

The Vail community is small but has such a big heart! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! I knew I could feel right at home here.

What is your hope for Vail’s future?

As Vail grows, I hope that its heart also continues to grow.  I want new and old residents to see each other as neighbors and continue to lend a helping hand to each other.

Who are you?

I’m mom to three crazy energized yet super fun kids. I have two boys and one girl and they are the perfect mix of fun. Before having kids I worked in the Real Estate world behind the scenes in Title and Escrow. I love running and taking on a challenge.

What motivated you to join the ReSources team?

I love organizing and busy work. The Vail Depot is such a neat place and everyone here is friendly and lots of fun to work with. It’s like a family.

What’s your favorite part about living in Vail?

I call my self a “wanna be”. While I don’t live in Vail as of yet I always have my hands in something Vail related and I love my MOPS group at CLV.

What is your hope for Vail’s future?

It’s this amazing community of people, I want to see that not get lost as it grows. I would love to see Vail’s schools and teachers get everything they need to continue to thrive and be as great as they are!
