The greater Vail community is growing and with it so are the needs of the residents. It’s those needs that inspired the creation of a new Arizona non-profit – Greater Vail Community ReSources, trade name ReSources. ReSources was formed in response to need – the services now available in Vail are limited and need to be expanded to better serve. We are networking with community leaders to fill the diverse roles necessary to accomplish our goals.
ReSources aims to provide food, clothing, school supplies and more to Vail, Corona de Tucson, Rita Ranch, Civano, and southeast Tucson neighborhoods.
Many residents in the greater Vail area qualify for assistance and until now, have received help from outside organizations. The purpose of ReSources is to organize and fund a locally controlled, operated and sustained set of programs. ReSources plans to collect donated and ‘rescued’ food and clothing for distribution. We will actively solicit retailers, wholesalers, restaurants, schools, faith-based organizations and individuals. Our mission is to provide the essentials necessary for the health and well being of the community, improving the ability of families to achieve self-sufficiency. This is a small investment compared to the cost of ignoring these needs.
Put simply, ReSources is an organization of neighbors helping neighbors.
