The Neighbors helping Neighbors movement.

was formed in early 2016 with the idea that local people could come together and provide support for their community.  Follow our timeline for a brief look our progression.

 Timeline:

  • April 2016.  First informal meetings begin to lay the foundation for Greater Vail Community ReSources
  • June 2016.  Greater Vail Community ReSources becomes incorporated
  • June 2016.  ReSources is adopted as the official trade name for Greater Vail Community ReSources
  • October 2016.  Collection begins while plans are in motion to open a thrift store
  • November 11, 2016.  Inaugural Vail Championship Cup golf tournament, it becomes an annual event
  • December 2016.  Greater Vail Community ReSources receives its 501 (c)(3) non-profit status
  • December 1, 2016.  Vail Depot Thrift Store opened at 13105 E Colossal Cave Road
  • January 1, 2017.  Resources Vail Food Bank opens its doors to serve the community
  • May 1, 2017.  ReSources Vail Food Bank is moved to 13105 E Colossal Cave Road
  • October 2017.  Southwest Gas donated a van to Resources to assist with food pick-up and delivery
  • November 4, 2017.  The second annual Vail Championship Cup golf tournament
  • December 1, 2017.   One year anniversary of Vail Depot Thrift Store
  • January 1, 2018.  One year anniversary of ReSources Vail Food Bank
  • November 3, 2018. Third annual Vail Championship Cup golf event.
  • December 1, 2018.  Two year anniversary of Vail Depot Thrift Store
  • January, 2019.  Vail Depot Thrift Store covers all administrative costs of thrift store and food bank allowing donations to fund programs.
  • March 4, 2019. ReSources Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon
