Who are you?

I was born and raised in Southern California, where I met the love of my life. Upon getting married and having children, we decided that we wanted to raise our kids in a small, less populated area. When a job opportunity opened up in Montana we accepted it. We lived in the Big Sky country for 7 years. Another job opportunity brought us here to Vail,  where we have lived for almost 5 years. We picked Vail because we heard such great things about the schools and community and after visiting, we loved the small town feel that we were accustomed to. Although I’ve been a stay at home mom for the majority of my kids lives, I did own and operate a coffee shop in Montana. In my free time, I love to read outside and go to the gym. I especially love Zumba. My daughter will be graduating this year from Cienega High School with plans to attend the University of Arizona. My son is currently a freshman at Cienega.

What motivated you to join the ReSources team?

I feel it is very important to give back to the community and be of service in any capacity that I can.

What’s your favorite part about living in Vail?

My favorite part of living in Vail is the feeling of living in a family oriented community with a strong emphasis on education.

What is your hope for Vail’s future?

I hope more businesses will come to Vail, but with that, I hope Vail never loses that neighbor helping neighbor feel that it now has.

Who are you?

I’m Leida Capella-Robinson.  I came to Vail thirteen years ago via the military.  After 23 years as a military brat and 21 years as a military wife, my husband, Joe, and I along with our four children chose Arizona as our forever home.

What motivated you to join the ReSources team?

I started my volunteer “career” as a 14-year-old Red Cross candy striper in an Army hospital in Okinawa and I loved giving of my time to our community. Now in Vail, I wanted to see how I could help in this community and the food bank was a great fit for me.

What’s your favorite part about living in Vail?

The Vail community is small but has such a big heart! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! I knew I could feel right at home here.

What is your hope for Vail’s future?

As Vail grows, I hope that its heart also continues to grow.  I want new and old residents to see each other as neighbors and continue to lend a helping hand to each other.

Who are you?

I am a veteran and a military spouse who started my career in the Tucson area in 1996.  Over the past 22 years, this is my 10th move and 3rd time back to Arizona.  My husband, two children and I plan on making Vail our forever home.

I love the small town feel here.  I love that we know our neighbors and we take care of each other.

What is your hope for Vail’s future?

My hope is that we can keep our community’s identity while continuing to grow.
