ReSources Needs Your Donations

Isn’t it a great feeling when you’re able to gift a friend with a household item or garment that’s in great condition, but one that you just don’t use anymore? It’s the same feeling you’ll experience when you donate to Vail Depot thrift store! The knowledge that your gently-used item is given a second life with a grateful new owner is really satisfying, as is knowing that you’re not contributing more than necessary to local landfills. Most importantly, however, is the knowledge that your generous donations are supporting the work of ReSources Vail Food Bank and its numerous clients. With Spring nearly upon us—hard to believe, but yes–it’s the right time to cull through your closets and kitchens to usher out the “old” and make room for the new.

So what types of items are most needed by Vail Depot thrift store? At the top of the list are housewares, such as good quality cookware, dishware, flatware, glassware, bakeware, china, crystal, linens and small electrical kitchen appliances. Of course, clothing—from casual to evening wear—in good condition is always needed, as are handbags, shoes, belts, and accessories. If you’d like a better idea of what the Vail Depot thrift store is all about, come on over and be amazed at the variety of treasures on display, and don’t try to resist buying one! The thrift store is located “between the tracks” at 13105 Colossal Cave Road in Vail.

Unlike for-profit thrift stores, Vail Depot is operated by Greater Vail Community Resources, an incorporated 501c3. Its revenues fully fund the overhead costs of both the Vail Depot and Resources Vail Food Bank which allows donations received from the community to be used entirely in support ReSources outreach programs.
